Mental Health Matters.

The leaner, stronger body that you aspire to have doesn’t mean a whole lot if you have body image issues and are trying to live up to someone else’s expectations of you.

That is not health.

Focus on you. Your mental health. Your physical health.

Have realistic expectations.

You will not magically become happy when you reach your goal. It just doesn’t work like that.

If you are unhappy throughout the process, then you’ll likely be unhappy after you reach your goal.

You’ll just want more and more in hopes of becoming happy and the cycle will continue.

It’s so common to hear.

“I will be happy when I lose 5 pounds.” *Loses 5 pounds*

“Ughhh just 5 more really. Just that annoying stuff on my lower abs and my cellulite too and my arm fat.”

See a trend here?

You don’t need this pressure.

I am not saying don’t strive to improve. Far from it.

What I am saying is if you will not allow yourself happiness until you get to an arbitrary standard that society has put in your head, you won’t ever be happy.

Do it for you.

Do it for your own reasons and in a way that makes you feel alive every day.

Do it for life.
