Our environment heavily influences what we do and what we think.

A messy, unorganized space can have a domino effect creating chaos and overwhelm in multiple areas.

By far, the most productive and positive habit that I can implement at any given time is that of simplifying.

The darkest and most unproductive periods of my life were greatly correlated with the amount of unnecessary clutter in my home, to-do list and life.

Sometimes, something as simple as cleaning out my closet and bedroom can make all the difference. The way that you take care of your sleep and work space says a lot about how you live your life.

Another way to look at this issue is under the lens of options.

When we have too many options in any given decision, things can start to get chaotic or even static, as the phrase “paralysis by analysis” declares.

In fitness, having endless workout routines and diet plans to reference may seem like a great thing, but it’s not.

The basics work. They always have and they always will. While some options can be a good thing, too much of a good thing can be problematic.

Takeaways

If you have trouble sticking to a diet.

If you “program hop” on a weekly basis, jumping from workout to workout.

If your brain feels like it’s going to explode at any minute.

I suggest you block out time to simplify, organize and strip away the fluff in your life.

Clean your bedroom, kitchen and bathroom. Organize those belongings that have been “staring” at you for years. Write out a workout plan that is bare bones and try it out, no need to complicate. If you need help with the fitness stuff, click the online coaching page above and email me. Clear out your calendar of any unnecessary meetings that add little to no value to you or the ones you care about.

Mostly, do what works for you. But know that devoting time to organization can have a massive amplifying effect on your fitness, business, mental health and relationships.

It’s worth it.
